Murder Mystery Weekends at the Skyline include:

• Two nights at the historic Skyline in our rustic rooms each with a private bath.

How to sign up: It is imperative that we sign up parties that are genuinely committed to attending the Murder Mystery party. If you want to come and enjoy a party call Mike Thrift at 704 517 6374 and provide your name, phone number and e-mail address and we will place you on the Murder Mystery list for the coming season, which will begin in November 2008.

Also, Private Parties can be arranged for groups anytime during the year! Group discounts are available for these parties. Also we can sell gift certificates for Murder Mystery Packages.

What to Expect:
About 2 weeks before the party you will receive in the mail a description of your character and some information about the character’s relationship with other characters. You can use this information to get together a costume, (which does not have to be elaborate). Also you should study the information about your character so you can interact with others comfortably and develop your character. This process is fun and can become very interesting, adding a lot to the party.

When you arrive on Friday dinner from our regular menu will be available. However it is not included because people must travel varying distances to get here and will therefore be arriving on staggered schedules. In the evening when everyone is here we will gather in the upstairs lounge for dessert and a glass of wine, which are included. At this time you will receive more information about your character as well as a list of objectives to be accomplished during the reception. There may be some secrets you need to share or sell. Once we gather each person will introduce his or her character and tell a little bit about them. Then we mix and mingle trying to accomplish objectives for the evening. Before the end of the reception someone will assume room temperature. Evidence will be gathered from the scene and everyone including you will become a suspect!!

Saturday morning everyone can awake and enjoy our Skyline Breakfast served by Lynn the Breakfast Nazi. If you don’t like what we cook then “No breakfast for you!!”

After breakfast get out and enjoy the area: Hiking, cycling, motorcycling, fishing, rafting, tubing and the many other exciting things to do.

Saturday evening we gather for a second reception with a glass of wine and hor’duerves included.  Everyone is given a second set of objectives to accomplish during the reception. There is a cash bar available and everyone intermingles and tries to uncover the facts leading to the discovery of whodunnit.

After a while we all go to dinner and eat a delicious gourmet meal. Afterwards we then present the evidence gathered and handout the ballots. Each person has to guess who did the murder and why. Following this presentation the murderer is unveiled by the authorities in charge of the official investigation. Awards are then presented to those who guessed correctly, those who gained the most in bribes, etc during the evening, those who acted the part the best and dressed the best for the part.

Cancellation Policy:
Murder Mystery Weekends are charged when booked. Cancellation can adversely affect the weekend for all involved. Therefore be aware:

Cancellation notices received 30-15 days from the event will be assessed a 50% penalty unless rescheduled during the same  season. If rescheduled the penalty will be $75.

For cancellation received within 14 days a penalty of 100 % of the total charges will be assessed unless the characters and room are resold.

No refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
